Description:
This stunning weigela was developed in the Czech Republic, hence the name, and is noted for its heavier blooming than the typical weigela. Sunny Side Up® is distinctive for its white flowers, each with a tiny yellow throat, surrounding the apple-green leaves.
Weigela is not fussy about soil or care. Weigelas cannot tolerate standing water or wet conditions. Little maintenance is required other than to maintain the shape if needed, after flowering. Use hand pruners to remove any wayward branches. Weigela prefers well-drained soil and is a magnet for hummingbirds. Weigela is very resistant to damage from rabbits or deer.
