A Proven Winner selection, this dwarf, slightly cone-shaped PeeGee hydrangea is covered by large white flowers in summer. The flowers are held upright on strong stems, and continue to grow and lengthen as they bloom. Flowers won’t flop like taller PeeGee varieties. As blooms age, they turn pinkish. It is compact and dwarf in habit, and the flowers cover every inch of the plant right down to the ground. Prune by half in early spring before leaf break. They love the sun, but in a hot spot, adequate water is needed, or the blooms will brown up fast. Adequate water will keep your blooms beautiful right until the lst hard frost. Leaves turn yellow adding to the Fall colour in the landscape along with the pinkish blooms. Hydrangeas can adapt to a variety of soil conditions, but will not tolerate drought, which results in brown flowers. Hydrangeas do best in slightly acidic soil, but it is not necessary to amend your soil.
