Description:
To truly appreciate this shrub which forms tiered horizontal branches, it is best left unpruned. The horizontal branching displays the magnificent, large, white, lacecap (open and closed petals) flower clusters, creating a stunning long display in spring. The pleated, green foliage turns reddish burgundy in Fall with full sun. The red fruit in fall will turn black and is very attractive to many birds.
Viburnum is best grown in medium, well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. If desired to maintain a smaller size, any necessary pruning should be done soon after flowering, to ensure the next year's bud set.
