Description:
This Norway maple strain forms a dense, compact, upright, growth habit. The foliage emerges bright crimson and fades to maroon-purple as the season progresses and the Fall colour is red-bronze. It is a nice selection in a small garden tree with its narrow form. This selection would benefit from consistent rainfall or extra watering during drought conditions to prevent powdery mildew and winter dieback.
It is not particular as to soil type or pH and is highly tolerant of urban pollution. Pruning maple trees at the end of summer is an ideal time to do so. All maples except Silver are Black Walnut tolerant.
