Description:
One of the most popular maples today. This hybrid maple is a cross between a native red maple (acer rubrum) and a silver maple (acer saccharinum). It is a fast growing maple, like the silver maple, and has the beautiful Fall colour of the red maple. Autumn Blaze has a uniform branching habit and will tolerate wet soils with good drainage. It is an excellent choice for creating shade without waiting for years for it to develop.
Pruning maple trees at the end of summer is an ideal time to do so.
