Description:
This fast-growing maple creates branches that grow almost vertical. Green leaves in the summer with an early beautiful Fall colour of yellow and orange tones. Perfect choice for a narrow area. Armstrong Gold maple grows best in full sun and tolerates most soils that are medium to wet, with good drainage. It has greater foliage density, and a more compact, less leggy growth habit in comparison to the parent 'Armstrong' maple.
Pruning maple trees at the end of summer is an ideal time to do so. All maples except Silver are Black Walnut tolerant.
