Description:
Extremely fragrant, star-shaped, pure white flowers open in early Spring and are produced on a more compact, upright growing, and multi-stemmed shrub. The pointy leaves turn coppery-bronze in fall. A perfect focal point for the smaller landscape where the fragrance can be enjoyed near a patio or porch.

Magnolias prefer an area in the garden that receives full sun to light shade. During a very hot summer, your magnolia might benefit from a location shaded by the hot afternoon sun. Avoid exposed, windy locations because strong winds can damage large flowers and typically brittle branches and will provide extra protection from hard spring frosts. Magnolias grow best in slightly acidic soil and is intolerant of drought, excessive moisture, and pollution. Any pruning should be done soon after flowering, to allow the plant enough time to reset buds for the following year. Magnolias have great winter interest in their shape and bud formations. Magnolias are not a favourite food of deer.
