Description:
This bright beautiful spreading juniper has feathery, scale-like, evergreen foliage. The juvenile foliage is a chartreuse-yellow during the growing season and turns shades of copper-bronze in the winter. It is very useful as a small accent or as a ground cover and works for erosion control on sunny banks.
Junipers do best in well-drained soil, and will not tolerate any standing water. Once established junipers are very drought resistant. They are not particular as to soil type or pH. To maintain the spread, cut out the ends of the stems, always finding a small branch on top and cutting directly under it, which hides your cut. Do not take shears to this beautiful shrub.
