Description:
Beautiful blue foliage hugs the ground and creates a great groundcover in your sunny landscape. Also used for soil erosion on sunny banks. A wonderful contrast of colours are created as the stems grow around other evergreens or flowering shrubs.
Full sun is required, with good drainage as junipers will not tolerate standing water or wet sites. Once established it will become drought-tolerant. Junipers are deer and rabbit-resistant and black walnut tolerant. To maintain the spread of the shrub, cut out the ends of the stems, always finding a small branch on top and cutting directly under it, which hides your cut. Do not take shears to this beautiful shrub.
