Description:
A somewhat columnar form, with burgundy to red foliage all season and creating a fantastic fiery red for Fall colour. The dense and upright form makes it very useful for many smaller gardens. It develops its best colour in direct morning sun, but too much hot afternoon sun or dry soil may result in dry crispy leaves of Japanese Maples. Japanese maples thrive in morning sun, or bright dappled afternoon sun. It prefers to grow in moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. Prune after the leaves have fully developed. Plant in an area protected from strong winter winds. Burlap wrap is recommended for Winter protection for the first year or two until the tree establishes a good root system. Warrantied until October lst.
