Description:
Pyramidal English Oak develops a rigidly columnar form and will produce acorns attracting squirrels. It has dark green foliage which will turn bronze and hang on to the tree over winter. It has low branching usually 3 feet from the ground.
It does best in average to well-drained soils and will not tolerate standing water, and prefers acidic soils.
All oaks are Black Walnut tolerant. Pruning of dead wood, or the odd crossing branch for structure, is ideally done midWinter to March.
