Description:
Hot Wings® Maple gets its name from the bright red samaras or maple keys that show their beauty with the contrasting green summer foliage. This small tree develops white flower clusters around May. This maple is suitable for smaller yards and adds fantastic fall colour in orange and red tones when planted in afternoon sun. It is excellent for screening. It is very adaptable to soil types and is one tough little tree.
Pruning maple trees at the end of summer is an ideal time to do so. All maples except Silver are Black Walnut tolerant.
